You are my sunshine... {heart broken}
Today my heart aches, the kind that will take much time to heal.
My only joy right now is in my family.
As this New Year approaches please give those you love a hug and kiss. And make sure that they know how you feel about them.
Today my family lost a very special man, my husbands much loved Uncle Bill passed away.
Very sudden.
{this is my father and Jellybean yesterday, the light makes me smile. It is like the heavens are shining brightly as they opened up to welcome our Uncle Bill}

After I placed it on the fireplace mantel and leaped our a chair and ottoman to beat the flashing light, we lost Nana on the right... {entry 1}
Second try I went missing on the left... {entry 2}
Third time was a charm...
My Mom was getting Jellybean to laugh like crazy...
{entry 3}
Oh, my Dad and his hat that he has had for over 15 years {never had to change the batteries}. He wore to the grocery store!

Happy 60th Birthday to my Daddy...
My Daddy celebrates his 60th birthday today.
He has always been a strong force in my life, even though we were not
always in the same house as I grew up.
My Daddy is be far the most successful and influential person in my life.
So thank you for always sharing your experiences but letting me create my own, for always listening to my endless
thoughts, for fathering with an open mind and heart, and for always knowing when to
encourage and when to discourage.
I love you the most!
PS I am very proud of my Dad getting back to this photo weight over the past year, he lost 60lbs!
Oh and PSS go check me out over at Prudent Baby!
Thanks Ladies for featuring my paint ornaments...
{Stroller Update}
Let me first thank you to all who have shared stroller recommendations. I have not made any purchases yet but once I do I will for sure share what our choice was and how I feel about it! So please keep them coming, if they do not help me they might hope someone else!
But I wanted to share some pictures of my stroller. Lets just say ALL the things I have complained about with any stroller I have owned or looked at this thing has wrong with it. First off it looks like a shopping cart. There is no cup holders, completely NON collapsable, um I guess hard as a rock since my Mom shoved all kinds of towels, blankets, and pillows in it, and the list would go on and on.
Notice the sun shade in this picture, it makes me laugh!
So counting my blessings the stroller industry has come A LONG way since the 70's! Can you imagine having to shove this into the back of your car?!
My Christmas came true early...
Our desire of becoming a family of four had a rough start compared to the breezy beginnings of
turing into a family of three.
With Buggie all I had to do was think about becoming pregnant, and poof.
And it was amazing to me how fast it had happened since I always had a feeling
that I would have trouble getting pregnant.
So when we decided it was time to add a little person to our family unit, I thought oh
this will be a cinch.
We started trying and two months later, poof I was preggers!
For the first couple of weeks I was crazy tired (like could not keep my eyes open
at noon!), beyond emotional (crying at the drop of a hat), and was already
starting to feel sick. I started thinking something might be wrong.
But I pushed those thoughts to the back of my mind, I was not going to entertain them.
Then around 7 weeks woke up in the middle of the night, thinking am I cramping?!
By morning I knew I was and had started bleeding.
I got on the phone with my OBGYN and of course they wanted me in right away.
My doctor checked me and said there was not active bleeding. But since I was SO early
along he wanted me to go across the street to the hospital for a internal sonogram.
After sitting in the waiting room in radiology for what seemed like 5 hrs, the tech took me back. I laid there hoping, wishing, and more then ever praying that this was just a bad
dream and we would see a little blinking light on the monitor.
But this story does not have that ending I tried so hard in my mind to create.
There was nothing, I mean NOTHING.
After going back to the waiting room, my doctor called to let me know that I had a
chemical pregnancy. After hearing this I felt betrayed, my body and mind had let me down.
It took me a little bit of feeling sorry for myself, to snap back into this will happen when it is suppose to. And this "LITTLE" hiccup is nothing compared to what many many other woman experience every day as they try for years to get pregnant. And how dare I complain when I already have A LOT more then most, with my beautiful little girl at home.
But 5 months later, we were blessed. And I knew this time was different. That day back in February was the beginnings of the best Christmas present I could ask for this year.
My life has changed oh so much over the past month. But when I look at the two little people that I have blessed to have, it truly all worth it.
So thank you Buggie and Jellybean for choosing me to be your Mommy and help lead you on your way through this world. I do not take this job lightly.
But I do take with lots of laughter, joyous memories and tons of love!

Paint Ornament Tutorial {my very first tutorial}
My first tutorial.
Paint Ornaments:
I made these several years ago, maybe 10, and had not done them since. Not sure
why because they are SUPER easy and turn out so unique & special. So this year Buggie
and I made some to give as gifts to neighbors and friends.
What you need:
- Glass Ball Ornaments (Joann's has theirs on
sale right now for 50% off,
since they were putting out Valentines stuff!!!)
- Acrylic Paint (I just raided my craft supply, but if you
have a specific color palette in mind, they are less
then a $1 a bottle for the Joann's brand.)
- An empty egg carton
And thats it!
1. To start pick out at least three colors if not more to use. Then remove the top hook off the ornament. Place the ball in the container upside down.
2. Then pour about a 1/4 tsp of each color in the ornament. No worries if you get some
on the outside of the ball, since it is acrylic it will just peel right off
once dry.
3. Once you have all the colors in the ball, just pick it up an start swirling it. Cover the whole interior of the ball. You may need to add more paint as you go.
5. Then set upside down in the egg carton. This is when gravity does its magic. The colors will start to run down.
6. It is best to let them dry for at least 4 hours.
As you can see the more colors the more dramatic the look. Buggie picked some pretty crazy color combos, but I have to say they all worked! She has such an eye. You can finish them off with a bow around the top or not. I think ours will go without. Hope you enjoyed and are able to try these, it is very very easy with a beautiful result.

What did you do this weekend? {&winners}
Ok so not sure what you did this weekend, but I am most burnt my house down
during mine!
I have had my handy dandy blow dryer for no joke at least 15 years.
So this past Friday night, I was blow drying Buggies hair before her little recital, when I heard a
pop and looked up to see smoke coming out of the plug of the dryer.
Lets just say it scared the *bleep* out of me.
Thank goodness my house did what it was suppose to do and the breaker tripped.
But now I am without a blow dryer.
Blow dryers are a very personal item. I have naturally curly hair so it is important it
has a low heat setting that blows slowly.
Any suggestions on a new dryer?

The story of my day...
As I sat perched on my couch, doing what I do best, nursing.
Buggie was at the kitchen table drinking her "special drink", aka a blue slurpee (ok I know
a blue slurpee?! But it was that or coke flavored). I told her she could having a special treat after school and as we all know drive-thrus are our friends when you have kids. So I stopped
at BK.
Ok back to the story at hand. So there I was, one kid on the boob and another drinking a blue slurpee.
Then it happened.
It was like slow motion, I saw it and could not do a thing about.
That darn blue slurpee slipped right out of her hands.
I sat there knowing if I stopped nursing all heck would break loose with
the little man, all I could do was direct Buggie to carefully swing her legs to the other side of the chair and step down.
Then I sat there, for what seemed like an hour, and watched as that freakin thick sticky blue drink slowly creep across my tile towards the carpet and Hubby computer charger.
Thank God little eats fast and that drink was slow moving, cause I got there just in time.
But man that blue (I know I have mentioned that it was a blue drink several times already) drink stained my tile.
So now all I can think about is what color Buggies insides must be. NO MORE BLUE DRINKS!
{would have taken a picture to show but time was of the essence}
