Mom in the shot Apr 28th {Easter}

I love these pictures from Easter.
They are of Buggie with her great-grandmother and Uncle.

This one makes me giggle bad.
"Lets pretend we are sleeping." Buggies says.
Then she can not stop laughing.
The best.

Happy Thursday!

The face is back with answers and a meetup

You asked this face a few questions and now it is back with some answers.

- What were you thinking when this picture was taken?
Maybe Em had made some smart keyster remark that made me give her this look.
Or maybe I smelled something funky.
Who knows.

- Did you ever finish your master bedroom redo and if so can we see pictures?
Boy do I wish I was saying yes to this question. But the answer is a LOUD and CLEAR no. Boo to the eeeew. But when this miracle does occur, pictures will be taken and blasted across the world wide web for one and all to see.

- What's your favorite thing about blogging?
It may sound corny to my Hubs but the friends I have made. Like real true tangible friends. To have a group of ladies who get it and that have the same passion for blogging has made the experience that much more fulfilling. Just the thought of being able to shot an email to someone across the country with a question or concern and being able to get an nonjudgemental, true and heart felt response makes me smile. Friends.

- What's your least favorite part?
I would have to say maybe some of the insecurities that have popped up. Nothing I am proud of.
And one other thing would be the nastiness I have seen shown towards people. I guess for me posting mean and hurtful anonymous comments is nothing I want to be apart of. There is tactful way of doing things. And I always feel taking the higher road is the best way, just my personal opinion. And you can always STOP reading the blog that is causing such feelings to boil up into your fingers and type. Just sayin.

- Have you ever flashed someone, submitted by infamous Jami Nato :-P
Yes. And if you are lucky next time I see you Mrs. Nato you will get to experience it.

- And lastly Kristine needs our help...
My 1st son is about to turn one and he just started this "lovely" thing of screeching. Whenever, wherever, and he thinks it's the funniest thing ever. I try to have no reaction other than gently lower my voice and say things like "shhhh, shhhh, let's not talk that loud" or "woah, (while whispering) buddy-quiet baby"....when all I want to do it laugh or hide my head or say "HEY HEY HEY>>> KEEP IT DOWN". Any advice? suggestions? etc?
I wish I had a clear answer for this one. Cause as Momma's we have all experienced in some fashion the out in public embarrassing behavior of some sort. I know it can be hard but ignoring it completely has help me in the past with bad behavior. When they see that they do not get a reaction out of you then he may think "hey this gets me nothing, lets move on" Like I would avoid eye contact everything and if you are somewhere that you can leave him there safely, I would walk away. And if you are in public and people are looking at you funny I would ignore them too, cause if they are parent they have been there. Anyone else have some advice?!

Thanks for the questions it was fun!

A mini "Bacation"

One great thing about living in Orlando is the fact that we have a ton of great hotels within 20 mins from our house.
Which makes the perfect mini "bacation" {Buggism}.
Hubs hotel points+Buggies b-day coming up=perfect time.
So we did some pool time.

With yummy strawberry daiquiris.

Warmin up in the sun after our strawberry daiquiris.

Big hotels with BIG empty hallways make for the best hotel exploring aka getting the extra
strawberry daiquiri energy out.

{did you catch that Sisty at the beginning, it melts my heart}

The next day we headed over to Disney.

Where we surprised Buggie with a princess makeover for her 5th birthday present.

And that was just Friday and Saturday, with Easter on Sunday we had a FULL
weekend.
It was perfect.

This is my first week sharing on Life Made Lovely.
Yippe for sharing what's good and happy in our lives.

PS
I am going to in and out this week.
SO much to do to prep for Buggie party this weekend :)

Mom in the shot Apr 20th {I will call him mini me}

When I had Buggie, it took me some time to get over how much we look alike.
I mean it scared me a bit, I am not going to lie.
So after Bean was born and he came out as a mini version of Hubs, I just laughed.
Now he will look at me and says, "Its freaky how much he looks like me."

And when they do stuff like this.
It is REALLY freaky.
No joke, they did the exact same thing back to back to back.
{insert Austin Powers voice}
"I will call him Mini Me."

What we ate Wednesday?

Since I am pretty much in pj's or tank top and shorts everyday, me participating in What I Wore Wednesday is a joke.
So how about What We Ate Wednesday?
{ps I know Wednesdays are normally reserved for Awk2theWard posts, but nothing funny to report today, BOO}

Ok so here is my
Not So Authentic Mexican Enchiladas
- 3 chicken breast {pounded out to a thin even level, I use a small pot to pound mine out}
- adobo seasoning
- 1/2 cup of salsa {with extra for eating later}
- 1/2 cup sour cream {with extra for eating later}
- 2 tbsp cream cheese {room temp}
- small can salsa verde
- tortilla shells
- shredded mexican cheese
- 2 tbsp of olive oil

- preheat oven to 350.
- season chicken generously with adobo
- cook through in a pan with olive oil

-shred chicken
- add to bowl with salsa, sour cream, cream cheese, and add as much salsa verde as you want for spice {I usually make the kids first then add it to the bowl} and mix

- then drop it, flip it and roll it {you know it is catchy, I so sing this when making them}
- line up in a baking dish
- top with shredded cheese

- bake in oven for 20 mins.
- I usually like to broil for a few mins to get a crusty cheese.

- plate with some salsa and sour cream on top {and maybe a little more salsa verde if you are feeling saucy}

And there is my Not So Authentic Mexican Enchiladas.

Enjoy!

Just listed...

"For those days when a little ruffle is in order, but lets be honest thats everyday."

I will be listing more of these comfy elastic headbands this week.
Enjoy!

She is 90 years young.

We traveled back to my hometown this weekend for a very special birthday party.
My grandmothers 90th.

I have many many many fond memories of being dropped off at my Rea's {there is a short but unusual story for the name we call her} for the weekend. She would cook my favorite food and she ALWAYS had dessert for us, which would ALWAYS have a dollop of cool whip on top.
I remember looking through all her treasures throughout her house, that she had collected from her travels around the world.
I would help her in the yard and play board games.
Tons of memories.

Getting ready to sing happy birthday.
The next series of pictures are the best. They totally capture her enthusiasm for life.

Oh what her 90 years have seen.
I love you Rea Rea.

You got questions and I got answers, so lets get together.

See this face.

It wants to know if you have any questions.
Something you have been meaning to ask.
Maybe it hasn't been the right time.
Or it slipped your mind until now.
Anything.
Granny panties or thong?
You ask, I answer.

If you want to leave them here go right ahead but if you prefer a more DL
question send it over to me at

Catch you on the flipside!

Bubble Gum Flowers DIY {plus an Easter FREEBIE!}

I am knee deep in 5th birthday party prep for Buggie right now.
5 years old, crazy how fast the time has flown by.
So we have had this little rule, no gum until you are 5.
I know kinda of silly but at some point I had picked the age and we stuck with it.
Now it is this HUGE right of passage that she is so STOKED about.
{sidenote: thinking of uping it to 20 for her brother, just sayin the kid's an animal}
Without giving away too much about her party I made these the other day and could not resist sharing.

What you will need:
- Gum {I bought the old school gum ball machine size tub and then some larger individual ones from Party City}
- Balloon stems with cups {which I now have 115 leftover, so if want some just holla, or Buggie will have these at every event for the next 10 yrs.}
- Clingwrap
- Twine or twistie ties.
- Small bowl
- Scissors

- Place some cling wrap in the bowl and then add a large gumball and 7 small ones.

- Take your stem and place in the center and then bring up the cling wrap tight around the gum.

- Lotion hands daily, oops thats a reminder for me after seeing this picture, EEK.

- Tie the up tight, cut the excess cling wrap off, and there you have gumball flowers!

They are so stinkin cute. Like for real, gumballs make me smile anyways but to see them like this just makes me plain ole happy.

Speaking of happy.
I got an email the other day from Shivani of My Owl Barn, the place for
all things owl.
She had teamed up with Jinjerup to create this ADORABLE Owl Easter Goodie Bag and bookmarks.

Super cute right?!
Well guess what its FREE!!!
Hop on over to My Owl Barn, and download yours today.
And give her a little hoot, cause everyone loves a hoot.

Happy weekend y'all!

Mom in the shot Apr 13th {Poolside}

My Dad has always been such an amazing force in my life.
Someone to cheer me on, give advice, and to encourage me when I need it most.
He is an honest, caring, driven role model.
I am proud to call him Dad and even more proud for my babies to call him Abuelo.

He is pretty funny too.
