My favorite photo of 2011 {The Paper Mama Challenge}

When I read The Paper Mama's challenge for the week, my first thought was *phesh* I know
exactly which photo was my favorite from 2011.
Then I went to find it and came across at least 50 more that I thought *phesh* thats my favorite, no this one, oh man but I really like this one.
I guess this will happen when you take at least 15 photos a day.
So lets do the math if I average 15 photos a day x 365 days = an OBSCENE amount of photos.

Here is the one I settled on...

{taken with my phone}

A moment when Buggie was doing her thing and Bean was on the sidelines cheering her on.
I love how it captures a single moment.
Not one of them posed, sitting pretty, and holding hands.
Just them being who they are my fun, loving, carefree kiddies.
And for the cherry on top it is at our beach.
The same exact sandy shoreline that has been our families spot for 5 generations.
My great grandparents owned a little motel right here, so my kids are now the 5th generation to play in this little stretch of the Gulf of Mexico.
And just the thought of it gives me goosebumps.
So yes this is my favorite photo I took in 2011.

Mom in the shot It was my birthday! {headband winners}

Thank you all for the birthday wishes.
It was a perfectly magical weekend.
Complete with my new hair do...

My step Mommy and her bestie scored these AMAZING beach cover ups at the grocery store...

They came complete with belly button rings.

My Hubs got me exactly what I asked for, new polarized Ray Bans, oh I love when that happens...

We played at the beach and it was beautiful.

I had the best birthday "cake" ever. A lobster tail pastry from Mike's Pastry in Boston.
My FAVORITE dessert ever.

Then to top off my night, Hubs sang to me on Buggie's Barbie boom box.
IT WAS AHH-MAZING. I am one lucky girl.

And on the way home from our weekend, my kids melted my heart when I looked back and saw this! My heart could not take the cuteness and love going on.

And the winners of a Come and Knock headband of their choices are...

Nessa, Rachel Porter, and Angie email me with what you ladies would like {I am adding a few more today}

Mom in the shot Jan 20th {use your imagination}

Pretend I am about 5 feet closer to the camera and smiling.
mkay.

{thats my beautiful cousin Ali closest to us.}

Chilaxin at my little cous's bachelorette party weekend.
Incase you were worried, I made it ALL night long.
Danced, danced, and danced some more.

I thanked my sweet cous for getting married so I could have a weekend
off, not selfish right?! Then looked at my sister and said come on already
I need another weekend!

Hop on over to Em's to see other Mommas embracing the camera.

Here it is...

the after vacation post. You know the one filled with other peoples children on vacation. I know *YAWN*. But I just had to, sorry my peeps.

The best part of being at the beach, is just walking down to the shore with a towel and taking a sunset dip.

Hubby worked from our condo for the week. So everyday he would log out at 5 on the dot and we would skip on down...

And not to get all political on you but...

Dear BP Execs.,
You SUCK. I am VERY dishearten by what is happening to our Gulf Coast right now. It is so hard to see the effects to the pristine beaches, wildlife and all those jobs. Clean up your mess!

Signed to many adjectives to describe how I feel.

Sorry about that, but I need to write it down. Enough said.

We took Buggie on a Mommy Daddy Date. Putt Putt and ice cream were on the agenda.

She did get a hole in one, very exciting. Oh and she calls it "golf tournament" think her Daddy watches golf on TV?

Not Putt Putt in Florida without gators...

Then we headed down the beach to get some of the best ice cream in town.

She choose strawberry and chocolate with whip cream and a cherry.

They have the biggest Pez collection. But they also sell all kinds of old toys and candy.

What a fun bathroom, right?

All in all we had a GREAT family vacation.
Much needed.

And if you read all the way through this, NO more vacay pics I promise.
