Oh, this giveaway has been in my back pocket for a week now. That was long enough to have me chomping at the bit to post about it. I love
Birch + Bird and I will bet the farm you will too!
First let's have the two woman behind the magic curtain of
Birch + Bird tell us a little bit about them and their divine store.
We are Rachel + Lily, friends, mothers, wives, multi-taskers, bring-it-on-ers, and thrifters at large!
Birch + Bird Vintage Home Interiors is the result of two serious addictions to thrift and a passion to do something creative outside of our domestic lives. Between us, we have 2 husbands, 5 kids, 2 cats, 1 large dog, 2 houses and 2 basements full of treasures we can't wait to share.
Over several playdates and several glasses of wine (not necessarily at the same time!) we made the life choice not to give in to our impending doom as hoarders but to join forces and start a vintage shop on our beloved Etsy. Over more playdates and more wine, (not to mention the temper tantrums, potty training and "we want a snack" interruptions in between), we opened our shop, Birch + Bird on June 1st. Neither of us had any idea what to expect and we've both been pleasantly surprised by the positive response to our shop. We've also been vendors at one market, Ivory Vintage Market and have another date lined up up with them on August 21st. It's nice to actually have a conversation with our customers, not to mention set up a physical "shop" rather than being glued to our computer screens at all times.
Our primary sources are thrift shops, a fantastic junk barn in our area and estate sales. We can't wait to try our hand at auctions and if we had more time, we'd love to spend our weekends garage sale-ing! Our main focus right now is keeping our shop updated with fresh items daily while balancing the rest of our daily lives...the struggle of women world-wide!
Thank you so much for sharing a glimpse of our lives and for visiting Birch + Bird!
Lovely right? Oh just to wander through their stock piles. Oops I was day dreaming. Ok to the giveaway.
