Dolla did it.

I had one and now Buggie does.
An imaginary friend.
Mine was Chickie.
Hers is Dolla.

Hubby did not have one.
So he is a little out of the loop.
He is not really sure how to encourage Buggie.

I think it is wonderful.
I have a VERY vivid memory of sitting in the bathroom {around 4 yrs old}
while my Mom was getting ready.
She went to throw a tissue in the toilet and KNOCKED CHICKIE IN!
And before I could tell her she had flushed the toilet!
Amazingly the next morning Chickie was back, but boy was I worried about her.

Buggie has not gone a day in the past month of so without mentioning Dolla.
Dolla goes in the car with us, "Mommy please buckle her in her carseat."
Dolla takes a bath with her "Momma Dolla needs her hair washed."
Dolla eats dinner with us "Daddy please cut Dolla's food."
And over the weekend I noticed Dolla began doing other things.
"Mommy Dolla made a mess with the Legos."
"Mommy Dolla left a cup of chocolate milk in your bed."

And today look what that sneaky Dolla did...

{this is my doll Beansie, Buggie loves playing with her and I love even more that she does}

Now we do not play on the stairs, only cause I have fallen down our stairs do to a toy.

Did you have an imaginary friend? Do your kids? Any funny stories?

  1. I've never had one, I don't think my mother would have tolerated it anyway lol

    But I have always thought they were interesting :)

  5. Love what Dolla did with the dolls - hilarious! I had an imaginary friend too. His name was Sherlock - original right? He didn't live with us though, he lived at my Aunt Sue's house - random. My mom played along with the whole thing!

  6. Landon has a semi-imaginary friend. His tonka dumptruck is now a "person". Dumptruck takes naps, and Landon taught him how to play Mario Kart on the Wii. Dumptruck hasn't done anything bad yet; however, Dumptruck will randomly be sad about something. Gotta love it!
